Feta Meat Sauce
Ingredients
- One block of feta cheese {cubed}
- One can of crushed tomatoes
- One pound of ground meat
- Wine wine {a splash for the sauce and a glass for you}
- Oregano {to taste}
- Crushed pepper {just a little}
- Parmesan cheese {sprinkle}
- Basil {to taste}
- Brown meat and drain
- Add the crushed tomatoes and spices
- Mix in the wine and feta
- Simmer until warm and tasty looking
Now onto the sauce cups!
Do you ever have a lot of left over sauce and you don't want to put it on the leftover pasta? Because if you put it on the pasta it never lasts and just dries out? Well do I have the solution for you! Sauce cups!
Spoon your extra sauce into a silicone cupcake pan {using silicone is super important}
Put the pan into the freezer over night
"Pop" the frozen sauce out of the cupcake pan. {See I told you the silicone part was important}
Bag up your sauce cups and put back into the freezer until you need to eat them!
Put your leftover pasta into lunch containers and in the morning just toss a sauce cup on top. You'll have fresh sauce for lunch and it won't be dried out!
